Sagay does not care about Kemi Adeosun skipping Youth Service

Renowned lawyer and chairman of Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Professor Itse Sagay has expressed his sentiments as regards the NYSC certificate forgery scandal trailing Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.

In an interview with The Nation, Sagay described Adeosun as a “brilliant and extremely valuable member of the current government” who should not be removed based on allegations that she did not fulfill the requirements of the mandatory Youth Service Corps.

According to Sagay, “I don’t bloody care whether she did youth service or not. It’s irrelevant as far as I am concerned. I don’t believe it. I don’t see anything serious about not doing youth service. I don’t see anything serious about it. That’s my own bias, not government’s.”

If it was left to him, Adeosun would remain minister because she is “damn good” at her job.
