Yahya Jammeh allowed keep 13 luxury cars

Forrmer Gambian President Yahya Jammeh will be allowed to take his 13 luxury cars with him on exile to Guinea. A spokesman to President Adama Barrow on Tuesday said an agreement was reached on Saturday to facilitate Jammeh’s exit from Gambia.

The Federal government has ordered the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to probe the circumstances surrounding the reported shooting of Big Brother Naija in South Africa. Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed gave the order on Tuesday.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said it would negotiate the 2009 agreement with the team set up by the Federal Government. ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi said the agreement was the principle of collective bargaining made with staff unions in universities, polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

The United Nations has said about 11 million survivors of Boko Haram insurgents are in need of humanitarian aids. Humanitarian Coordinator for the Sahel, Toby Lanzer said this while speaking on the plight of people in Africa’s Lake Chad basin.
