28 States owing teachers’ salaries – NUT

The Nigeria Union of Teachers on Wednesday said about 28 states were owing backlog of salaries. The NUT President, Michael Olukoya, said this in Abuja during a workshop. Olukoya said teachers in the country were faced by challenges, including Boko Haram insurgency in the North East.

Wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, has advised the recently released 82 Chibok girls to stay strong and try to learn a trade as no knowledge is a waste. Mrs Buhari gave the advice when she met with the girls at their location in Abuja.
